FORKLIFT CERTIFICATION

In Washington State, you must be licensed to operate a forklift. Your first step to becoming licensed is to take ANEW’s one-day forklift training course! The training consists of three elements: formal training (general, classroom-type), practical training (hands-on, driving), and a written test evaluating the operator’s understanding. Upon completion of this course, Forklift Operators are qualified to operate:

  • Class 4: Internal Combustion Engine Trucks – Cushion (Solid) Tires
  • Class 5: Internal Combustion Engine Trucks – Pneumatic Tires

The employment opportunities for Forklift Operators in the Seattle area are endless. Typically, Forklift Operators are employed by manufacturing, shipping, construction, and warehouse companies. They work at factories, construction sites, warehouses, and other storage spaces to transport heavy cargo. Forklift Operators typically inspect goods, lift heavy materials onto pallets and secure them with cord or packaging, stack merchandise, and count inventory.
